Foods That Increase Sex Drive

Whichever food it is that tickles your taste-buds to the point of sexual arousal, you will want to avoid eating too much of it. If you want to kill the urge to be sexual, just over indulge! A full stomach tends to make the body drowsy and that can be a real drag on the sex drive.

It's not only the food that increases sex drive; it's the way we prepare it. If we take time to plan the activity and prepare the food, our minds are on the sensual pleasure that awaits us. We are stimulating our brains and working ourselves into a state of sexual arousal. Anticipation before the event builds and will add to increasing the ultimate pleasure.

Just as we all have different preferences when it comes to sexual pleasure, different foods will have different effects on different people when considering increasing sex drive. For example, I eat chocolate as a substitute for sex, not as a way to increase sex drive. However, if I'm looking for a sensual treat, I love to eat oysters. Oysters have long been known to increase sex drive in some people.

Oysters for an Aphrodisiac Effect

I love the way oysters are presented, spread out across a bed of ice on a silver platter. Then I like to take time to cover them in lemon juice providing just the right combination of sour and salt. Some like to add horse radish, I like them as naked as possible! I like to feel the texture of the fish brush against the roof of my mouth, and finally I like to taste the juice left in the shell. Can you see why food might increase sex drive?
