There are a multitude of libido supplements available to men and women. Some people just need a little help and may find what they are looking for in natural herbal supplements. Others may need to use prescription drugs, such as Viagra, to notice results. The best options for men and women will depend on age, diet, and the types of sexual problems that need to be solved.

Choosing Libido Supplements

Women can find many natural supplements on the market for improving libido. Younger women should consider taking maca, damiana, ginko biloba, or saw palmetto. Saw palmetto is also known to increase breast size for women, which can improve self confidence and desire for sexual activity. Women in their late 30s or older should consider supplements that boost hormone levels. The best supplement options for these women include maca and DHEA.

While most men only consider prescription drugs, they can see results from herbal supplements as well. Msle supplements may include ingredients such as yohimbe, horny goat weed, and sarsaparilla. These ingredients can be very powerful. Men who simply want a slight boost in sexual drive might consider taking ginko biloba, DHEA, saw palmetto, or zinc. These ingredients are also recommended for men who are over the age of 40.

Both men and women can benefit from high potency vitamins. Vitamins A, B, C, and E are especially effective for stimulating sexual desire and for maintaining sexual function. Foods that contain these vitamins seem to be especially valuable. For instance, asparagus contains high doses of vitamin E, which is good for the reproductive system and for stimulating hormone levels. Likewise, oysters contain high doses of zinc, which is beneficial for testosterone production. Eating plenty of healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains is also recommended for improving libido.
