Laughter, music, exercise, Yoga, and meditation are all excellent sources of natural stress relief. In fact, there are a number of formulas and vitamins that boast the ability to assuage stress in your life. While your body may need a number of these vitamins and amino acids, it's usually healthier for you to get these nutrients from your food, rather than a pill.

In addition, not all music is useful when it comes to anxiety relief and deep relaxation, especially when you consider most of the music played on the radio. You should find some nice meditation music that you can melt into, something that centers you and truly relaxes your mind. I would not suggest throwing a heavy metal CD into your player and cranking up the volume, unless, of course, you plan on knocking down a few walls with a sledge hammer.

It's also important to not that certain natural stress relief techniques can be detrimental to your health, such as smoking cigarettes.

In your quest to build a healthier lifestyle, be weary of the different drugs out there that claim to reduce or eliminate stress. Drugs, even natural drugs, usually only provide temporary relief, a band aid if you will. True stress management comes from a willingness to make life changes and commit to an extended program.
