Cellulite Treatments

There are certainly a large number of cellulite treatments on the market today that promise to reduce the look of cottage cheese thighs. This problem causes many otherwise confident women to feel self-conscious, especially during swimsuit season. Although women who are overweight tend to battle the problem of cellulite more, thin women are not immune to this condition.

Cellulite treatments consist of a myriad of things that you can do for yourself at home, as well as things that require you to see a professional. For instance, there are topical creams, shower scrubs, and firming lotions that you can purchase through expensive department stores and spas, as well as at discount drug stores. These products may temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite, but they are absolutely not a cure. Many anti-aging products have been shown to reduce the appearance of cellulite; collagen supplements have been shown to be one of the most effective anti-cellulite treatments.

Spa Cellulite Treatments

Although spa cellulite treatments are more expensive than many home remedies, they offer multiple benefits. Massage therapy is not only helpful in reducing the appearance of cellulite, but also it helps with stress and it loosens up tight muscles throughout the body. Many women try to get regular massages in order to minimize the look of cellulite on their hips, thighs, and buttocks.

Spa treatments also include body wraps, which usually incorporate heat and some type of topical seaweed treatment that is known to draw out toxins and tighten and firm the skin. Body wraps that are performed on a regular basis can help the leg area to appear more toned, with less lumps and bumps. When massage therapy is combined with body wraps, the results can be very drastic, though they are not permanent. As mentioned before, collagen supplements have been shown to be an effective method in reducing the appearance of cellulite, as they help the body rid itself of stored toxins.
