Well, as we all know, sunless tanning products have been around for many years. However, the various formulations have certainly come a long way in recent years. No longer do self-tanning products turn your skin orange, nor do they have that obnoxious chemical smell.

Look for sunless tanning products that actually contain vitamins and minerals that will improve the condition of your skin as well as give you some bronze color. Some of the newer brands actually contain the antioxidants C and E, which are known to slow your aging process by fighting wrinkles and uneven skin tone. Not only can you look forward to a great tan year round, but also you can expect to see some of your wrinkles subside.

The Beauty of Sunless Tanning Products

Furthermore, many sunless tanning products contain sunscreens, which further protect your skin from the damage of UV rays. If your skin is sensitive or prone to breakouts, stick to formulas that are non-comedongenic and oil-free. Some tanning products contain heavy moisturizers that are simply not going to help people who are prone to acne flare-ups.

When applying sunless tanning creams or sprays, always keep the product away from your eyes and hairline, as you do not want even natural ingredients getting in your eyes or irritating your scalp. It is wise to exfoliate the skin first, to get rid of any dead skin that will hinder an even application. When you are done applying the product, wash your hands immediately to keep your palms from getting orange.
