If you're trying to stick to a low fat diet, you can find a number of different fat free candies to help stay motivated. Many of the hard candies on the market today are low fat or no fat. Hard candy is essential sugar and flavoring that is heated at extremely high temperatures and cooled.

When you find fat free candies you get the best of both worlds. You can find cinnamon flavored candies as well as sour items, and even coffee flavored hard candies. The great thing about these candies is they fulfill your craving for something sweet without adding a great deal of caloric intake to your diet. Of course, if you eat too many of these candies the calories do add up, but eating them in moderation is a great diet alternative.

Guilt-Free Snacking

Candies without added fat fulfill that oral fixation that so many of us seem to have. The next time you find yourself eating out of boredom or stress, it's a good idea to reach for a small piece of candy or a lollipop rather than grabbing a bag of chips, or eating a piece of cake. Losing weight is not just about counting fat grams or carbohydrate grams, it's also about counting calories.

There is a wide selection of fat free candies out there today. Rather than just eating these candies whenever you're hungry, it's a good idea to mix things up. During a typical day, it's a good idea to choose healthy snacks like apples or carrots, and then supplement your diet with fat free candies and low calorie sodas. The latter snack options have little to no nutritional value, and should be eaten in moderation
