Trane air filters offer a variety of options in size and media. The five-inch thick filter is easy to slide into the frame when it is time to replace the filter. Some of the Trane units are made with two filters. These are outside filters that are either one or two inches in thickness. They can be pleated and are easy to remove and replace.

The Trane business started in 1885 with James Trane. The family business was incorporated in the early 1900s. In the 1980s, it was bought by American Standard Companies. The Trane quality has lasted more than a century and annual sales are in the billions of dollars. The air filters made by Trane meet the same quality standards as the units they service.

Trane Air Filters Work Hard

Filters are the key to great air quality. The ability of the heating and cooling unit to circulate the air is important. It is also important to have a filter that will allow for low-resistance airflow while removing the highest particulate count. Make sure filters meet the requirements specified by the manufacturer of the unit. Undue strain on the fan blower can cause damage to the system and increase the utility bills.

Proper filtering of the indoor air adds quality to the respiratory health environment. People with difficulties such as COPD, asthma, and allergies need all the help they can get when it comes to ease of breathing. If the indoor air is filled with stale pollutants, it adds to the difficulty of taking every breath. Clean air provides less strain on the respiratory system to remove particulates foreign to the lungs.
