Krups Espresso Makers

Espresso has quickly overtaken coffee as many people's morning drink of choice. Just look in your own neighborhood. It seems like every corner houses an espresso bar where hundreds stop to get their java jolt. Whatever the name--cafe Americano, latte, cappuccino, or mocha--the base of most specialty coffeehouse drinks is a good quality espresso, which is pretty tough to make at home. Or is it? Krups offers several espresso or combination coffee/espresso makers that can give you your caffeine kick in the comfort of your kitchen.

Espresso is made by forcing hot water through espresso grounds, usually through steam pressure. Simple enough. Add steamed milk and a little foam, and you have a latte (add chocolate to this and you have a mocha). Add a little steamed milk and a lot of foam, and you have a cappuccino. If you want to make these drinks, it's good to have an espresso machine that also has a frothing attachment to steam the milk.

Krups' Novo Plus E.S.E. Espresso Maker can do it all. It uses thermoblock pump technology with 15 bars of pressure to produce rich, authentic espresso. And it can be used with E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso) pods--individual packets of espresso that are pre-measured to make a single serving. The Krups Espremio Espresso/Cappuccino Maker uses 8 bars of pressure and also make a great cup of espresso. Both include a steam nozzle to froth milk.

Krups Brings the Coffeehouse to Your House

Krups also has multi-function models that make coffee, espresso, you name it. The Krups Il Cafe Bistro has a 10-cup coffee maker and a 4-cup espresso maker--great if you don't have the counter space for several machines. The Krups Il Cafe Duomo combines an 8-cup coffee maker with a 4-cup espresso maker. Whatever your caffeinated pleasure, you can feel like a barista with a Krups espresso maker.
