If you like, you can add a detergent such as trisodium phosphate or liquid dishwashing detergent. Again, it doesn't have to cost a lot of money to be effective. Remember, do not mix chlorine bleach and ammonia products!

Other mold cleaning products might need to be used with a brush. If you are removing mold from bathroom grout, for instance, scrub it with a brush. Leave the cleaning solution on the surface for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it with water. You can also clean mold off of your shower curtain by washing it with the same solution, or if it's machine washable, by adding bleach to the wash.

Mold cleaning products can't prevent mold from growing back. However, you can control it. Keep your home's humidity low. Dry wet fabrics promptly. Clean all of your textiles before storing them in a well-ventilated area. Finally, do not store clothing in plastic for long periods of time.
