Ceiling Fan Pulls

Have you ever had a problem with a ceiling fan pull? I know few people who haven't. Isn't it fun when you have to jump for the thin pull because it's too high up? Once you finally grab on and give a swift jerk, the whole thing will occasionally go flying over one of the blades causing you to have to grab a chair or stand on the bed. In addition, some pulls are just thin chains making it quite difficult to grab hold.

If your fan doesn't come with a pull that you're proud of, know that ceiling fan pulls are inexpensive and easy to find. You'll come across the biggest selection on the Internet. You'll find pulls that are bulky, carved pieces of wood. Some people online are offering stained glass pulls or beaded pulls. You can even get ones to match kids' rooms in the shape of soccer balls or baseballs.

Pulls You Can Work With

When it comes to choosing a pull, you'll want to make sure of a few things. First, if your fan also has a lighting fixture, you'll want to make it so that you can tell the difference between the two pulls. Many of us have accidentally turned off the light instead of turning on the fan only to find ourselves in rooms of complete darkness, feeling around frantically for the light pull only to turn on the fan.

You'll also want to make sure you can reach the pulls easily. If the fan is going into a child's room, check the length. Some parents want their child to reach the pulls, others don't. Don't feel that you have to get pulls made by the same manufacturer as the fan. All pulls are universal.
