If you're in the market for a wood-burning fireplace, there are plenty of choices out there. Superior is one of the most trusted names in the business, having produced wood-burning fireplaces and stoves for over 60 years. Let's take a look at some of the models offered by Superior so you can see the wide range of choices offered by just this one company.

Varieties of Superior Fireplaces

The Superior BC-36 is a good example of Superior's most basic fireplaces. The BC-36 is made of pretty much just the internal guts of the fireplace. It does not come with a face, so if you install one, you'll need to find your own mantel to fit around it. The BC-36 is a heat circulating model that features stamped louvers, and has a nice-looking brick pattern liner on the inside of the fireplace.

The Superior CR-3835 has a 38 inch by 21 inch opening, and is designed for areas that call for a double walled fireplace. The CR-3835 can be installed in a corner fireplace, since it has openings on two sides. It uses a double wall flue system, and can be purchased with optional glass doors that open on each side.

For people interested in a three walled fireplace, the CPF-38 is a great choice. Unlike the CR-3835, it comes standard with glass doors on all three sides. This is a nice fireplace because it features 1,800 square inches of glass viewing area. It also has a high smoke dome, which allows you to burn wood without worrying about smoke escaping into your room.
