Ventless corner fireplaces provide the perfect solution to that boring, characterless room or that annoying space problem. If you have a room in your home that lacks an interesting focal point, needs some sprucing up, or frankly is just plain ugly, a ventless corner fireplace is a great way to fix the problem. A fireplace instantly gives you a captivating focal point that, at the same time, adds personality and charm to a dull room.

One thing to remember is that fireplace mantels are meant for things to be put on them: keepsakes, mementos, family photos, sculptures, plants--almost anything can be attractively displayed atop a fireplace mantel. Corner fireplaces are no exception, and while saving space by occupying the place where two walls meet, they also provide an attractive surface for holding those little things for which you might have had difficulty finding a home.

Safety and Ventless Corner Fireplaces

Corner fireplaces also come in more elaborate dual duty designs, such as china cabinets built atop the fireboxes, and side shelves for storing anything from books to plants to fine crystal. Because the firebox is so well insulated--and also because the fire is so well controlled in ventless fireplaces--you don't have to worry about the surfaces of your corner fireplace becoming hot, and damaging adjacent surfaces such as walls or floors.

You also don't have to worry about heat damage to the things you store on your corner fireplace. The exterior of the corner fireplace will always remain room temperature, even if you burn three cans of fuel at once. These fireplaces are extremely safe, and can be safely used in any room of the house, even the basement or bathroom.
