Commercial Flagpoles

Commercial flagpoles aren't used for residential reasons--they are specially engineered and designed. They are used for the fronts of corporations, universities, schools, town squares, marinas, state capital buildings and the like. They are generally taller, heavier and more durable than residential poles. This doesn't mean, however, that you have to spend a lot of money on them. You simply need to know where to look.

Getting the Best Deals

For the best bargains, I always suggest using the Internet. You will most likely be amazed at the quality and prices that you can find from manufacturers. This will require you to take a bit of time to do some comparison-shopping, but it will be worth it. You might not know what kind of flagpole you need, only what it will be used for. If you only need something to do the job, you can find some great deals.

Perhaps you're looking for an internal halyard flagpole. This is where the pulley system and the ropes run through the center of the pole so as not to flap a lot or break down due to weather conditions. The older flagpoles are external halyards, where the rigging is on the outside. If it doesn't matter which one you get, look at both and find out which is cheaper.

It's also a good idea to see which companies supply free shipping. As flagpoles can be quite heavy, you could accrue some major shipping charges. Compare the price of one company that includes shipping to another that doesn't but add in the shipping costs. In addition, make sure the company you order from uses a delivery service with good insurance.
