Pennant Flag

There are many things for which support can be demonstrated with a pennant flag. Many churches demonstrate support of their deity by flying a flag outside of their place of worship. Companies show that they are proud of themselves by flying their company logo outside of their offices on a custom made flag. And, who hasn't seen a black pennant flag sporting the number "3" as a tribute to the late race driver, Dale Earnhardt?

A Pennant Flag for Every Demonstration of Support

When picturing the traditional student's bedroom, there is always a pennant flag over the bed saying something like "State U." School pennants are a popular flag that shows support and loyalty for the institution. Many, usually the higher priced ones, also sport a school's mascot. A Notre Dame University pennant flag is almost always green and shows the school's top hat wearing leprechaun and the words, "Fighting Irish."

To conclude as we began this page, sports team's pennant flags are the first images that come to mind when thinking about a pennant. They are as small as rearview mirror hanging size, and as large as the side of a stadium. They are immediately recognizable by the fans of the team, and immediately hated by fans of their opponents. No matter what institution or cause a person chooses to support, they will most likely have a pennant flag to demonstrate that support.
