Wedding Gift Ideas

Finding just the right wedding gift is a challenge. On the one hand, you want to buy the bride and groom something unique, memorable and touching. You want the item to be something they'll appreciate for years to come, like a home decoration, rather than a useful but ultimately disposable item, like a good bottle of wine, or a forgettable item, like a home appliance.

At the same time, you don't want to impose your taste on the couple. The chances of your taste in lamps or vases being the same as their taste in lamps or vases is very slim. You may have exquisite taste, but everyone's style is different. You can buy the bride and groom a phenomenal Tiffany lamp, but if they prefer modern items to old-fashioned ones, they're just not going to like it. The last thing you want is for the couple to feel obligated to display your gift if it isn't something they truly love.

Wall Mirrors as Wedding Gifts

If you want to buy a memorable, special wedding gift, consider the gift of wall mirrors. The terrific thing about mirrors is that they can work anywhere in the house. If you buy the couple a mirror set in a silver frame, but they've decided to decorate their living room all in leather, bronze, and wood, they can still hang your lovely gift in their dining room, bedroom, hallway, kitchen, entryway or study.

Also, unlike other items of home decoration, mirrors have a great ability to blend into their surroundings. They have a quiet power that can transform a room, on the one hand, while fitting into a number of different styles, on the other. For example, if you buy the couple a large, oval mirror framed in ornate, wrought iron scrollwork, it will look beautiful against almost any color wall, above nearly any type of furniture.
