A mirror with lights is an asset to any bathroom or vanity area. As one of the most-used areas of the house, the bath has become more functional over the years. It now contains many of the amenities that were formerly found only in the living spaces of the home. Since many people spend a lot of time in the bathroom, this room is now being asked to work harder than ever before. Thus, the addition of a lighted mirror area has become a standard feature and a virtual necessity.

A Mirror With Lights Functions Beautifully

With the proliferation of attractive and creative lighting options in the past few decades, it is now easy to find a mirror and light fixture that is right for the space. Whatever the style of fixture, however, the most important consideration is that you achieve shadow-free task lighting. A mirror with two frosted-glass sconces on either side, for example, is a good solution.

Another way to get the right light is with a bar light over the mirror. A single fluorescent fixture or several low-voltage halogen bulbs across the top of the mirror provide good task lighting. These fixtures can also be placed on either side of the mirror. Fixtures set directly into the glass are striking and contemporary. As long as the bulbs do not create glare or shadow, they will function well.

No bathroom is complete without some kind of mirror with lights. It gives one a work area for performing grooming tasks. It also provides light for the entire space. Thus, a mirror with lights adds to the utility of a bathroom, making it a space that one will want to spend time in.
