Track lighting fixtures are very functional, as they can be used in tight spaces or difficult to reach spots. Come to think of it, you can almost use them anywhere you want. What makes track lights unique is that the track itself is capable of performing many functions and is very versatile. The track will provide you with energy all along its length. This way you can place the heads any way you want.

Track Lighting Design

Track lighting can be placed on ceilings or a high wall. Then you can focus the light on anything you want to draw attention to. Track lighting can be used as accent lighting to illuminate your favorite piece for others to notice and admire.

There is a wide range of track lighting fixtures; they come in all shapes and sizes. You can find round ones, wide beam ones and square ones to fit any style or need. There are a number of parts to a track lighting fixture: the switch, form services panel, wire connector, hot wire, wire in-connector, cover plate, mounting screw, toggle bolt, cover, and finally the contact blade.

Track lighting fixtures are not only highly functional but attractive as well. All you have to do is pick a track head that fits your style. Many different types of lamps can be used with a track system, including low voltage, halogen lamps, fluorescent and halide lamps. Your choice will depend on how strong or soft you wish the light to be in your room and whether heat is an issue.
