Wedding Lights

Wedding lights are less expensive than flowers. Wedding luminaria, paper lanterns and fairy lights don't cost a lot. Yet, wedding lights are the single most important and dramatic way to make a nighttime reception or ceremony romantic, magical, and unforgettable.

Wedding Lights for Low Cost Glamour

One of the most memorable and enchanting wedding ceremonies I ever attended took place in Vermont in the autumn. Believe it or not, the wedding actually cost very little. The couple were paying for it themselves, and they didn't have as much saved as they might have liked.

To recreate the glamour and romance of their ceremony, set your wedding in the outdoors, at dusk, or at night. Seat the guests in folding chairs, and give candles for each of them to hold. The aisle should be lined with lovely wedding luminaries, which you can purchase yourself, online. Exchange your vows beneath a tiny archway, which has been strung with fairy lights.

Use no other decorations, beyond these wedding lights. You will need no ribbons, flowers, crepe, or bows. You'll need no bridesmaids or groomsmen. For a glamorously minimal wedding, you'll just need guests, the Justice of the Peace, yourselves, and a solo violinist. These are the perfect ingredients for a remarkable, minimal, and elegant ceremony.
