Poulan garden tractors are larger and more powerful than the company's line of lawn tractors. While Poulan offers nine different lawn tractors, Poulan garden tractors are only available in two different models. Both Poulan garden tractors feature a powerful Briggs and Stratton Intek V-Twin engine.

Two Varieties of Poulan Garden Tractors

The POGT20H48ST is the base model Poulan garden tractor. Its Briggs & Stratton Intek V-Twin ELS engine produces 20 horsepower, which is sufficient for many large lawns. The POGT20H48ST features a cup holder, an electric clutch, an ammeter and two gauge wheels. It also offers what Poulan calls "step through design," which allows you to easily climb on and off of the tractor.

The PDGT26H48 is the heavier-duty Poulan model, but it has many of the same features as the POGT20H48ST. Both models have a 10 gauge steel deck that is 48 inches wide. They both allow you to raise and lower the deck between one and four inches, which means you can customize the height of your grass. Both models also feature a Hydro Fender shift transmission.

The differences between the POGT20H48ST and the PDGT26H48 are few, but they are substantial. The POGT20H48ST has an 18 inch turning radius, while the PDGT26H48 has a 28 inch turning radius. The PDGT26H48 also has bigger tires, and has a slightly larger, more powerful Briggs and Stratton engine.
