Carpet Floor Mats

Carpet floor mats are often used commercially to provide a coordinated, domestic feel to a business entryway, lobby, or other common area. Unlike floor mats that are designed to withstand extreme conditions like industrial work settings, carpet floor mats are made to look inviting and attractive. They come in very durable and absorbent varieties as well, and can be customized with a logo or business name.

Attractive Carpet Mats

Carpet mats are meant to be highly visible elements of a room, not hidden in an area of a business where only employees are allowed. Since they offer little resistance to chemicals and grease, they are rarely used in work settings where these conditions may be present. They are more commonly used as personalized area rugs that greet customers when they walk into a business.

Business owners want to be able to prevent mud, water, and dirt from being tracked into a building, but they like the look of carpet mats. They will commonly use a combination of absorbent and non-absorbent carpet mats for multi-level entryways. A non-absorbent mat can be used to scrape off mud and snow, and then water can be trapped and shoes dried by an absorbent mat.

Few people think about the implications that floor mats can have on a home or business, but they can have significant effects on health and safety. Air quality has been shown to be better in buildings that use entrance mats, since mats can trap toxins and dust that frequently collect on the bottoms of people's shoes. They are also used to prevent common accidents that occur from falling on slippery floors.
