Dragonfly Mosquito Traps

Dragonfly mosquito traps use a patented, microprocessor-controlled system that emits carbon dioxide, octenol, and thermal image of body heat to attract mosquitoes. In nature, the dragonfly is the most powerful killer of mosquitoes; in your backyard the Dragonfly is pretty powerful, too.

This is no ordinary bug zapper - Dragonfly Mosquito Traps electrocute only female, biting insects, not beneficial insects as some traps in the past did. It attracts such insects as mosquitoes, no-see-ums, jiggers, midges and sandflies. Unlike other mosquito abatement equipment, this unit is quiet and invisible; there are no annoying zapping sounds or distracting light. You can also control biting insects with several power settings and options for the amount of octenol released.

The Dragonfly comes with a three-year limited warranty and will cost you only about $800 plus another $200 if you want to place it on a portable pedestal. It uses a CO2 tank that you can easily purchase at a beverage distributor or welding shop supplier. The store where you purchase your Dragonfly will likely know of some local places to get a CO2 tank.

Dragonfly Mosquito Traps vs. Spraying Chemicals

An effective alternative to chemical pesticides, the Dragonfly does not use harsh chemicals and only targets the insects you don't want. It has no adverse effect on people or the environment that pesticides do. It is also cheaper to operate, using only the amount of electricity a 40-watt light bulb would use.
