Commercial Lawn Mowers

Commercial lawn mowers aren't for people with a faint heart or a small yard. These machines are the SUVs of lawn care: they're fast, they have huge blades, and they're able to cover a lot of territory quickly (not to mention wowing your small-mowered neighbors in the process). Let's take a look at some of the features of high-end commercial lawn mowers.

Commercial Lawn Mowers for the Serious Landscaper

The main advantage of commercial lawn mowers is obviously their ability to cut large areas of grass very quickly. If you're dealing with huge grass areas like those found in public parks, corporate headquarters or athletic fields, small lawn mowers would take forever to get the job done. With large commercial lawn mowers, however, you can expect to cut over 20 acres of grass per day.

Commercial mowers get the job done because of their combination of a large cutting area and a fast drive engine. These two things don't always go hand-in-hand, however. Many inferior mowers will actually choke themselves up because they're unable to cut and process the grass as fast as they can drive over it.

It's important to find a mower with a powerful cutting system that gets grass clippings out of the way in a hurry. This will prevent the machinery from bogging down, which then requires time-consuming cleaning and repair processes. When buying a commercial mower it's important to thoroughly research the model and make sure it's ready to meet your needs.
