You can find wet commercial vacuum cleaners to clean stains and mud smudges from your workplace carpets. A commercial vacuum cleaner has to be durable enough to withstand the abuse that commercial machines are often exposed to. Make sure your commercial vacuum has more than one stage filter to keep the air fresh and clean.

About Commercial Vacuums

There are three basic types of vacuum cleaners used for commercial purposes. These are upright, canister, and backpack vacuum cleaners. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages. Individual workplaces have their own requirements for a vacuum cleaner, depending on carpet size, the depth of the pile and the nature of dirt they are exposed to.

If your workplace has a huge expanse of carpeting, an upright vacuum cleaner will be a good choice. This is because the width of its cleaning head can clean bigger spaces much faster than a canister or backpack. The other useful feature is that it has a brush, which helps separate the dirt from the carpet to speed up the cleaning process. The only problem is that uprights do not work well on very thick carpets simply because they lack the suction power.

Canister vacuum cleaners can be very powerful which makes them ideal for cleaning thick carpets. They can also be used to clean under very low pieces of furniture, such as benches in the airport, for example. The main problem with canister vacuum cleaners is that maintenance is expensive in the long run because of the nature of their design. Parts wear out more often than with other types of vacuums.
