People who have back injuries or simply are too old or weak to push a full-size vacuum cleaner around may choose a cordless vacuum cleaner. It provides an easy solution to the logistics of lugging a huge vacuum around. Cordless vacuum cleaners are very light and easy to carry. They are quick to use to clean up little spills, while being gentle on your furniture and your drapes.

Cordless Considerations

Cordless vacuum cleaners are battery operated or rechargeable. They are convenient because you don't have to have a socket to plug the cord into. You can reach all those little inaccessible places which are too far away for the short vacuum cord to reach. Batteries can be recharged by a charger unit.

Cordless vacuum cleaners are great to use when cleaning your stairs. You will not have to worry about unexpected accidents, such as falling down the stairs as a result of getting tangled up with the vacuum cord. Backpack units can make this job a lot easier, since you don't have to carry the vacuum with one hand the whole time. You can use them in your kitchen for dry spills, in your office and even your workshop. Some cordless vacuums have reusable bags and high quality filters; these are both qualities to look for when shopping around.

There has been a new addition to the family of cordless vacuums: the robot vacuum. The new robot vacuum cleaner is unique because it operates on its own so that you can simply sit down and put your feet up. Robots can be used on all sorts of floors including hardwood, carpet and tile floors. They can lift all kinds of dirt, even pet hair. Some robot vacuum cleaners have smart sensors to keep them from bumping into furniture, but many of the kinks are still being worked out of these products.
