Many of us are always on the lookout for a product that does more than one thing. This saves us precious time, and often money too. Polyurethane foam is one of the most versatile products available, and is precisely why it is so popular in so many industries today.

If you want to give your home the benefit of wall and roof insulation, you will be delighted to know that polyurethane foam does a grand job of both sealing and insulating. In fact, it's among the best in the class at both jobs. Because it expands so tremendously, it can form a tight seal wherever it is being applied and will even effectively fill cracks.

Sealing Out Pests

It is not attractive at all to rodents and insects, so it can effectively seal off their entrance to your home. This is good news indeed for any home owner. It is also moisture resistant so it is great at preventing mold and damp problems too. If you are applying polyurethane foam as an insulating material over some previous form of insulation, remember that what's underneath has to be completely dry or moisture will be trapped, possibly causing problems.

Polyurethane foam is a superb insulating sealant for any number of purposes. It is used in the marine industry extensively and also in the refrigeration industry. Because it is a closed cell material it is far more effective as an insulator than other materials that are open cell.
