Earplugs from Howard Leight are grouped into 4 categories: single-use, multiple-use, detectable earplugs and banded earplugs.

Howard Leight Hearing Protection Products

Single-use earplugs are designed to be cost effective and deliver strong, instant protection. All models of single use earplugs from Howard Leight deliver at least 29 dB attenuation, with most attenuating over 30 dB of sound. They are designed more simply than multiple-use plugs, and are a one-size-fits-all product line.

Multiple-use plugs and detectable plugs feature more complex designs, and are designed to be washable. The multiple-use products are all variable size earplugs, designed as such to allow wearers to find a perfect fit. Detectable Howard Leight hearing protection takes the form of corded earplugs; each including with a tiny metallic fitting that is detectable by automatic testing machines. They are highly visible to human eyes, as well.

Banded earplugs are attached to a plastic band that prevents the earplugs from touch a surface if they are set down. This makes them a type of Howard Leight hearing protection that is perfect for environments with non-continuous noise hazards. There are a variety of shapes available, with NNR ratings as high as 27.
