In order to obtain all the necessary equipment for a practice, most dentists will need to obtain dental practice financing. Financing is available for dentists who want to lease or buy their own dental equipment. Without financing, most dentists could not afford to purchase their own equipment and run a practice. Dentists can find the equipment they need whether they are situated in an established dental office or are considered to be a mobile dentist.

Uses for Dental Practice Financing

Dental practice financing can be obtained for permanent or mobile dentists. Permanent dentists work out of their own offices as individuals or in partnerships. These established dentists will need to obtain a full selection of dental equipment for their practice. Necessary dental equipment items include dental chairs, sterilizers, x-rays, lasers, lights, digital radiography, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and nitrous oxide systems.

Mobile dentists are different from permanent dentists because they travel to different locations instead of staying in one office space. These dentists may travel to nursing homes, hospitals, reservations, treatment centers, islands, resorts, and to homes. Their mobile dentist equipment should be light and easy to transport. Many mobile dental systems combine the features of different types of dental equipment. For instance, one system may feature an x-ray, dental chair, operator's stool, instrument/supply case, and over 20 dentistry operations.

When obtaining equipment for a dental practice, dentists must choose whether to buy or lease their equipment. Dentists can obtain dental practice financing that allows them to make monthly payments on equipment instead of paying the full amount at once. Leasing is a great option because dentists can try out different machines and upgrade for better models at the end of their lease terms.
