Block magnets are shaped, yes, like blocks. You can get them in square blocks or rectangular blocks. You can get them very small, about one quarter the size of a penny. You can also get bigger ones. It all depends on the project you are doing and what you will be using the magnet for. If you are doing crafts, you will probably want smaller magnets. Industrial jobs require much larger magnets.

One popular way to use magnets is by doing crafts. You can create many custom refrigerator magnets. Block magnets are a great idea for several occasions. You can use the box shape and make little gift boxes for Christmas or birthdays. You can also stack several different sized boxes on top of each other and decorate them like a wedding cake! What looks like one magnet can be split into three or four.

You can also glue the magnets together and create a magnet frame. Just glue some long block magnets together at the ends and hold up a photo by framing it with the magnet. This is such an inexpensive way to decorate your fridge and make your photos look great. These also make wonderful gifts. People never tire of putting photos, drawings, brochures and coupons on their refrigerator.

Block Magnets for Practical Purposes

You can use these magnets to help organize your garage. By putting them on the walls, you can attach your tools to the magnets. This way you don't have to deal with annoying hooks. Plus, it's so easy to find what you are looking for--simply grab it down. You can also use magnets as stud-finders when you want to nail into your walls.
