Square magnets are essential for any crafts person interested in making magnetic sculptures. A combination of square magnets with unusually shaped NIBs, such as round magnets, spheres, discs, rods, and the like, will allow you to craft everything from little golfers to adorable puppies. NIB magnets are ideally suited for sculpting, because of their great strength.

Rare Earth Square Magnets

NIBs are a form of rare earth magnets. Rare earth magnets were developed in the 1970s and '80s, and are much stronger than the kinds of magnets most of us are used to. NIBs can act on each other from as far away as 12 inches. They are so powerful that, if you have a pacemaker, you should talk to your doctor before sculpting with them!

NIBs (Neodymium Iron Boron) come in a great variety of shapes. These shapes come in a great variety of sizes. As you can see, the type of sculptures you can make with NIBs is limitless. If you need really unusual magnets, like square magnets of giant proportions, for instance, you may need to custom order them.

Many good magnet companies offer custom ordering. The easiest place to find one of these companies is online. Look for a reputable company that has been in business for some time. Submit your proposal for a custom magnet, and see what kind of quotes you get back. You may be surprised at how inexpensive it is to create the magnet of your dreams!
