Insert Molding

Insert molding is a process used in manufacturing parts. In this process, an existing part is usually manipulated with molding. Another part or a connector part is inserted and molded to the component.

Insert Molding Capabilities

Insert molding can be used for parts of any size. You can use miniature threaded inserts, or large pieces. You can also use many different materials for molding.

The most common material to use for molding is plastic. Plastic is versatile and low in cost. There are a few different types of plastic as well and some are more durable than others.

Insert molding can be performed for small custom orders or for mass quantity orders. You can use the process of manual insertion or automated molding. Inserts are often monitored by optical sensors to ensure that they are in proper molding position.
