Plastic injection mold making is a desirable method for many manufacturers. It allows plastic to be formed into any shape with use of a mold. Plastic is commonly used for injection molding because it is versatile and low in cost.

Plastic Injection Mold Making

Plastic injection mold making begins when plastic pellets are melted into a liquid. The liquid is then injected into a specific mold. After cooling, the plastic product may be removed from the mold.

There are many design options to consider in plastic injection mold making. You can create a mold for any shape of product. However, you will save money if your products are small in size because the tooling for small products is less expensive.

Your injection mold should be carefully designed so that your plastic product will be durable. Walls should be even whether they are thick or thin. Corners may also be rounded to minimize stress to the product upon removal from the mold.
