Arkansas long term care insurance is available for the residents of this beautiful state. While many are thinking only of getting on the water for the weekend, others are seriously considering if they will be able to see the water in 10 or 15 years. This is the time for planning the future. What will happen if for some reason you are left today without the ability to care for yourself?

The sobering fact is that there are thousands every year that enter the realm of partial or total dependence on someone else for routine daily needs. It does not matter if the need for assistance arises due to an accident or if it is just a part of the aging process, the cost is the same. It is projected that in another 15 years, the daily cost of nursing home care can be over $300.

Monitoring Arkansas Long Term Care Insurance Provisions

Many of the insurance carriers provide a Care Coordinator when the need for using the policy occurs. This individual is responsible for evaluating the insured and the medical necessity for covered services. The Coordinator is the one responsible for developing a plan of care and for making certain that the policyholder has the help needed whether in a nursing home or as in-home care.

With the projection that by 2030, there will be approximately 12 million individuals over the age of 65, it is obvious that long term care insurance will be needed. The baby boomers are approaching retirement age and will initiate this increase within the next few years. There are millions at this point who have not enrolled in a plan for long term care.
