Per inquiry advertising has become one of the hottest trends in marketing today. This is a great alternative to traditional methods of advertising because it saves time and money for your company. Per inquiry advertising saves you money because you do not buy media services in the traditional way. Here is how it works.

Basics of Per Inquiry Advertising

Per inquiry advertising, or PI as it is also known, can save your business a ton of money. Traditionally, companies have bought a large chunk of media and then use these services to get information to the public. The problem with this strategy is that it is quite wasteful. A large sum of money is prepaid and then advertisements are aired hoping someone interested will see, hear, or read them. It's sort of a shot in the dark for this type of service because you can never be sure your money was well spent.

Per inquiry advertising is different though. Instead of shelling out big bucks ahead of time, your company creates a commercial or other advertisement that is then broadcast through various mediums depending on your specifications. You are only billed when a customer responds to your ad. You are charged for each customer that calls or contacts you for information or to purchase your product. Because you're only charged for interested customers, you know your advertising dollars were well spent.

Per inquiry advertising is one of the more interesting things to come out of the advertising industry lately. It will be interesting to see what impact this business model has on the overall advertising sector in the years to come.
