Offline MarketingWritten by Seth Cotterell In a world increasingly touted as totally digitized, offline marketing might seem antiquated to some people. This is a very misguided attitude however. It is true that computers have become ubiquitous in modern society and the Internet plays an ever growing role in the lives of people in developed countries, but online advertising alone is insufficient to properly promote your company, product, or service. Offline marketing is still a very important resource for your company and should not be overlooked. Offline Marketing for Your CompanyLimiting your marketing campaign to Internet advertising alone is too myopic a strategy. It is important to utilize all available channels to garner your company maximum exposure and increase brand awareness. Online strategies are good, but are better when used in conjunction with offline marketing strategies as well. Radio and print are two of the oldest methods of offline marketing. Print ads have been around in some form or other for hundreds, even thousands of years. Print ads are generally less expensive than other ads and are able to reach a very wide audience indeed. Radio ads too are highly effective. Radio ads are designed to stick in the listener's memory by using novel and catchy devices. One of the single most effective offline marketing strategies is to advertise on television. TV reaches more people in the developed world than any other medium. A good commercial or infomercial can go a long way to increasing awareness and recognition for your product. TV ads combine features of print and radio ads, and all three types work well with each other and with online ads.
