Corporate Wine Gifts

Wine is usually a pretty safe gift as long as the person you're giving the wine to drinks alcohol. Wine carries with it the strong connotations of class, sophistication, and relaxation. Even inexpensive wine can elicit those interpretations. In a business setting, especially a corporate setting, corporate wine gifts are a pretty good bet.

Modern medical studies suggest that certain red wines are actually good for your health when consumed in moderation. Red wine is a great source of biologically active phytochemicals. Phytochemicals are chemicals found in plants. Polyphenols are specific compounds found in red wine. Two of these so-called polyphenols are resveratrol and catechins, both of which occur in the grapes that make red wines. Anyway, most scientists believe these two polyphenols have properties that fight diseases like cancer.

The Health Benefits of Red Wine

Looking at it from that point of view, you might actually be saving an employee's or a client's life. Most people are in tune with the term "anti-oxidant' these days. Anti-oxidants are substances that reduce oxidative damage. Recent studies suggest that ant-oxidants can reduce the risk of cancer. Red wine is filled with anti-oxidants because the skins of the grapes contain antioxidant compounds.

Ironically, red wine is now considered by many to be a health food product. My mother's doctor suggested she drink a glass of red wine every night before going to bed. Corporate wine gifts are great for those clients who like doing casual business in a local bar or chatting about a business relationship over dinner in a restaurant. You know who it's appropriate for.
