Bird cup feeders are a necessary item for bird cages. Pet birds need a regular supply of food and water in order to survive. Cup feeders will hold bird seed, water, or other feeding materials in the bird cage. Many different types of feeder cups are available to purchase for your type of bird and cage.

Choices of Bird Cup Feeders

You can choose from a variety of bird cup feeders on the market. You can find feeder cups in pet stores and by ordering them from certain websites. The size and type of feeder cup you choose will depend on the type of bird you own and the size and shape of your bird cage. For example, larger birds eat and drink more than smaller birds, so they will need larger feeding cups.

Bird cup feeders can be made from one of many materials. Popular choices for indoor birds are ceramic, plastic, and stainless steel. Outdoor bird feeders are typically made from wood, plastic, or mesh bags. Make sure that you keep your feeder cups at a high level, so bird droppings will not have an opportunity to fall in the feeder cups.

Feeder cups can be attached in various ways to a bird cage. They are most commonly attached to a side wall of the cage, but can also be hung from the top of the cage. You can attach cups with clamps, hooks, clips, wire, or screws. Some designs of perches for bird cages also have ceramic cups attached to the perch.
