Celebrating Pet Birthdays

The largest number of pets we've ever had is five. That included four dogs and a cat. Two of the dogs were sisters and litter mates, one was born (coincidentally) on the same date as the sisters, and one was a stray puppy that our vet determined was born in the middle of May. Since all the other dogs' birthdays was May 12, we had a party every year, and threw in the cat because he, too, was a stray. It was great fun. The kids loved it, and our pets seemed to enjoy the treats and attention as well.

We still celebrate pet birthdays. Most pet lovers can really understand that. We still get them treats and, often, toys on their birthdays. Sometimes, we even got them new clothes (collars and leashes). If you're thinking about how to celebrate your pet's birthday, you will find hundreds of special treats and toys on the Internet, unique gifts designed specifically for the "discerning" pet and his human.
