There is an increasingly high demand for Gilbert Arizona real estate. Gilbert, which was incorporated just after other Phoenix suburbs, like Scottsdale, is a community that enjoys the benefits of both large towns and small, secluded areas. Much of the current population of Gilbert consists of families.

As the rest of the metro Phoenix area began to grow during the middle of the last century, Gilbert managed to stay rural until fairly recently. Some rural land in Gilbert remains undeveloped, and current Gilbert Arizona real estate runs the gamut between large rural properties and condos or apartments.

The Convenience of Gilbert Arizona Real Estate

Gilbert sits nearly equidistant from Phoenix and the large Tonto National Forest. Like other parts of central Arizona, the weather in Gilbert is often perfect for outdoor activities, such as hiking and horseback riding. With an average of 310 days of sunshine every year, Gilbert is a natural fit for many young, outdoorsy families.

In the 1980s, Gilbert Arizona real estate became immensely popular, and the young town quadrupled in size. Recently, another boom is happening in Gilbert--the median price for a new home jumped by one-fifth during 2003. This boom is affecting the surrounding areas, and helping to introduce a massive growth spurt into the southeastern corner of Phoenix.
