Arroyo Grande is a charming town of about 16,500 residents, located in San Luis Obispo County along California's central coast. The climate is exceptionally mild, with low temperatures in winter seldom below 40. Summer highs are usually in the 70s, and the average annual rainfall is only 16 inches. With the Santa Lucia Mountains to the east and the Pacific to the west, Arroyo Grande offers the best of both natural environments.

Arroyo Grande offers the best of both worlds in terms of culture and atmosphere, too. The city is located midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, and easily accessible to both. There are also several cities nearby, such as San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay and Santa Barbara. But Arroyo Grande itself still maintains a wonderful, small-town vibe.

Memorial Day means time for the Strawberry Festival, with 500 exhibits of arts and crafts, as well as strawberry treats of every kind. The Fourth of July means band concerts and chili cook-offs. Late July brings more than 300 custom and antique autos to town, and the September Harvest Festival has been held since 1937.
