San Diego Listing Realtor Represents the Seller

A San Diego listing realtor is the professional who is responsible for publicizing the property of the seller. One of the most effective ways of doing this is through the MLS, the Multiple Listing Service, available to all realtors. Flyers and open houses are all part of a San Diego agent's methods of advertising a property, but the MLS listings are online and so, reach a far-larger audience.

This service makes it incredibly convenient for an interested buyer outside San Diego CA real estate to peruse the available properties. Keep in mind that a San Diego listing realtor represents the seller. Although one agent may conduct the negotiations for both sides, you, the buyer, might consider whether or not you need an agent to represent your interests in the process.

Relocating into History

Anyone coming into this historical region will find many reminders that San Diego is the birthplace of California. Once Cabrillo came ashore in 1542, probably on Point Loma, and realized the glorious spot he had found, he named the land San Miguel and claimed it for Spain. Vizcaino arrived in 1602 aboard his flagship "San Diego" and gave the port its permanent name, for the Spanish Catholic saint, San Diego de Alcala.

Place names in Southern California, especially, are often derived from this Spanish heritage: beaches, streets, cities, geographical sites. Indian names have also been retained for such important sites as Cuyamaca. Once Junipero Serra arrived in 1769, the building of the mission chain throughout California began, and the lives and cultures of the native Indian groups were altered forever.
