Properties In South Florida

Anyone planning on investing in properties in south Florida, particularly anyone moving in from out of state, should think seriously about working with a local realtor. Real estate is an important and significant investment no matter which way you look at it. Decisions and commitments shouldn't be taken lightly or made hastily.

The hassle of the paperwork is reason enough. Just as moving from one place to another is at best an upheaval, bidding and closing on a property is at best tedious. There are a great many residential properties in south Florida, even if half of it is the Everglades. Are you really sure you'll make the best decision and use of your time in undertaking the search on your own? I thought not.

The Big Picture on Properties in South Florida

Your first choice in properties in South Florida is between the Gulf of Mexico coast and the Atlantic. On the one side are Fort Myers and the golf mecca of Naples. On the other side are Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Palm Springs. The same year-round balmy climate envelops the entire region, the same lush tropical vegetation and wild orchids and palmetto trees, the same delightful white beaches. You'll be living by the Everglades and Lake Okeechobee, near enough to Disney, Cape Canaveral, and Epcot that they seem next door.

The three counties--Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade--are home to about 4.5 million people. Each county has its own personality and tempo. Miami-Dade is the most urban, Broward the most community-focused, and Palm Beach the most affluent. Realtors make a business of knowing the areas and the market, the pros and cons of different school systems, the style of one community over another. Why not use their expertise to help you find the home of your dreams?
