Atlanta Georgia RelocationWritten by Courtney Salinas Atlanta, Georgia is located in Fulton County and covers 131.7 miles and is home to around 425,000 residents. Atlanta is the 11th largest city in the country (if you include the suburban population) and shows no signs of slowing its growth in the near future. Traffic has become a big issue for people in and around the Atlanta area and despite city initiatives and an uproar among citizens, the conditions don't seem to be getting any better. Relocating to the Atlanta AreaMany people who are drawn to Atlanta for work are forced to deal with the crowds and the traffic. Living in the city limits means you have less ground to cover to get to work, but sometimes that doesn't translate into shorter commute time. Since most of the traffic is in the city, the higher house prices in the city might not be worth the few minutes saved en route to work. Some commuters choose to deal with the big city issues by taking up residence in small towns just outside of Atlanta. They still have all the advantages of big city life during the workday, but they also have the conveniences of small town life when they head home for the evenings. Many of the small towns around Atlanta, such as Newnan, Peachtree City or Fayetteville, have their own unique personalities but are only 30-45 minutes away from the businesses and cultural sights of downtown Atlanta. Atlanta has a very vibrant cultural scene for Atlanta-area residents to take advantage of. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens, the Fox Theatre, the Atlanta History Center and Zoo Atlanta are available to those who enjoy educational adventures. Atlanta is also home to the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Hawks for sports enthusiasts.
