Cobb County is now is its own booming area, no longer a bedroom community to nearby Atlanta. The manufacturing and service industries here now employ as many people as Atlanta. The municipalities of Acworth, Austell, Kennesaw, Marietta, Powder Springs and Smyrna are all located in Cobb County.
