Sandy Springs is a community in unincorporated Fulton County, just north of Atlanta, Georgia. This little community has a lot of spunk in the form of preservation committees and philanthropic organizations. Sandy Springs is a very involved community, filled with citizens who want to make a difference in the lives of those around them.

Heritage Sandy Springs is an organization that helps to preserve Sandy Springs's history and establish a cultural identity for the area. This organization manages the William Payne House, a historic house with a museum. There are working gardens around the nearby Sandy Springs Historic Site, the very springs from which Sandy Springs derived its name! Locals can tour the sites or offer their volunteer services to the non-profit Heritage Sandy Springs organization.

Make Sandy Springs Home

The active community in Sandy Springs is a wonderful advantage of living in this lovely area. A committed and involved community will benefit everyone in that community for a long time. Sandy Springs has many concerned homeowners and it shows in the beauty of their homes--you won't find run-down older models or uncared-for yards in this town. If that type of mindset suits you, you'll likely be comfortable here.

When looking for a real estate agent to help you locate a home in Sandy Springs, look for awards, referrals and how many home listings they have. An agent with a lot of home listings is a successful agent. You can be assured they have lots of experience and make lots of sales. Be sure and get plenty of references, though. Ask your friends, family and neighbors who their best or worst agent was and what made them so good/terrible. Also, check to see if the agents you're considering have won any awards--it makes a big difference if an agent is recognized within his or her industry.
