Where Are the Best Maui Condominiums?

Several considerations will help determine where the best Maui condominiums are--for you. First, Maui may only be 728 square miles, but every few miles may bring a change of weather. So, what kind of weather do you like?

If you are only staying a few days, and you are a windsurfing expert, you would head for the windy Paia area on the North Shore, site of unrivaled windsurfing conditions. Love the rainforest environment? The Heavenly Road to Hana with its hundreds of turns just above the ocean is lush and green. The whole north side of Maui real estate gets lots of rain because of the storms brought in by the northeasterly trade winds.

Activities and Affordability

If the best Maui condominiums on the north side have weather that doesn't suit you, West Maui beach front condos, or South Maui luxury condos surely will. Sunny, dry, and hot, Kihei, Wailea, and Makena in South Maui have the best beaches and a wide variety of watersports. Snorkeling, boogieboarding, swimming--children, novices, and experts alike find the ocean perfect.

Kihei offers the best range of condo rental and sale prices, as do Lahaina and Napili in West Maui. If you want luxury and elegant living along with fine facilities and great golf and tennis, head for the resorts at Kapalua, Kaanapali, Wailea, and Makena. All the best Maui condominiums in these resorts are built on the coast, and provide many opportunities for water activities, fine dining, upscale shopping--and relaxing.
