Hana, Maui, is located on the far eastern side of the island and is considered one of the most remote areas to be found. Although it lies only 50 miles from central Maui, it takes a bit less than three hours to drive to it from Kahlui. It is designed for people who enjoy isolation and the quiet of residential life.

Hana Maui real estate is probably the less expensive on the island, as the homes and condominiums here are not in high demand by tourists and "second home" vacationers. However, these homes require reliable transportation and a lot of patience to get to.

Hana is also a good area for simple companies to establish an easy and uncomplicated business life among the residential community. The outlying regions of the area are not yet populated by large business chains, restaurants or resorts; as tourism goes, Hana Maui real estate is the last area on the island to be affected.
