Kihei Real Estate Is Booming

Kihei real estate is one of the largest volume markets in Hawaii! Two factors are important: Kihei has the best beaches on Maui, and Kihei real estate is still affordable compared to other areas. Prices of real estate on Maui started rising about three years ago, and are expected to continue upward.

Kihei real estate has condos and homes for rent and for sale, and there is still a range of prices despite the growing popularity of the area. Kihei homes may start at $200,000; condos at $100,000. The majority, however, are in the range of several hundred thousand dollars and up.

Live in a Beach Paradise

Anyone who loves the ocean will be able to find innumerable spots for watersports and activities. Kamaole Beach is great for body surfing and boogie boarding, snorkeling, and beginning deep sea diving. Jet skiing is available in Kihei, and beginning windsurfers can try their skills at Kealia Beach.

Kihei beaches provide other amenities and activities. The Kamaole Beach Parks (I, II, and III) have lots of parking, volleyball courts, and lifeguards, still not always available on Maui. Keawakapu Beach is great for beachcombers. Mai Poina Oelau Beach Park has excellent swimming, kite surfing and windsurfing, along with showers and restrooms. This is a surefire spot to watch the humpback whales that have migrated to Hawaiian waters to breed and calve in winter.
