One of the most popular activities in Summerlin, besides riding and walking along the hundreds of miles of trails, is golfing. The rolling topography of Summerlin makes it an ideal location for a challenging game of golf. The developers cut no corners when they were planning the many golf courses. Quite a few courses in the area were designed by some of the world's greatest names in golf.

There are eight public and private golf courses within Summerlin. The 18 holes at Siena were designed by Brian Curley Lee-Schmidt and have an overall par of 72. The nearly 7,000 yard course has been challenging the best golfers since 2000. Jack Nicklaus's Bear's Best course is another public 18-hole course in Summerlin. This course features replications of some of the most challenging holes ever designed by Nicklaus. Several additional golf courses are planned for Summerlin and the surrounding areas, making Las Vegas both a leading gaming and golfing destination.

Red Rock Country Club is an exclusive community in Summerlin with two 18-hole courses designed by Arnold Palmer. Many of the luxury and custom homes in this section of Summerlin lie along the fairways. Residents of Red Rock have access to both the Mountain and Arroyo golf courses. Public access is available at the Arroyo golf course for a small fee.

Summerlin is home to Nevada's only Tournament Players Club courses. One of these courses is home to Nevada's only PGA Tournament. Imagine how enthralled your friends will be when you tell them you saw Tiger Woods practicing his swing from your backyard!
