Many parents say they chose to live in Summerlin simply because of its numerous parks. Each village within Summerlin is home to a community park. Each community park provides the standard wide open spaces that can be hard to find in other communities. Many of the parks also have recreational facilities such as swimming pools, baseball fields, tennis courts, and basketball courts. As the community of Summerlin continues to grow, so will the number of parks and opportunities for fun and relaxation.

The 19 major parks in Summerlin help provide a healthy living experience to all residents. Many parks are within walking distance of neighborhoods and housing developments. Parks that are a greater distance away can easily be accessed by car or via one of Summerlin's many trails.

Summerlin is a City of Parks

The major parks throughout Summerlin each have a specific focus. The Hills Park is home to an open air amphitheater which hosts a variety of evening concerts and theatrical performances. The Crossing park hosts Summerlin's Youth Soccer league and has the space to accommodate several little league soccer games. If you prefer swimming, the Arbors Sports Park has an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a children's play area, lighted softball courts, and tennis courts.

There are also 80 neighborhood parks that are perfect for walking your dog, taking an evening stroll, or for a quick game of Frisbee® with the kids. These parks provide a safe play environment for kids of all ages. The central location of each park helps strengthen the sense of community that abounds in Summerlin.
