Home Inspection Marketing
Written by Sierra Rein
One of the biggest challenges facing any new home inspector is how to market his or her skills. This is especially true for freelance home inspectors who have placed all their energies into learning the trade, purchasing the necessary tools, and establishing a well organized home or small business office. Home inspection marketing is the next phase of the business to get clients on the phone.
The most common home inspection marketing tools of the trade are traditional fliers, business cards, and brochures. These should be professional looking and designed in such a way that clients can find the information they are looking for with a minimum of effort. Prices and contact information must be kept up to date and all should be printed on professional printing paper.
The next type of home inspection marketing goes into the digital realm. Many home inspection businesses, large and small, are turning to the Internet to market their business name and professional services. Websites are low-cost alternatives to paper marketing products and can offer potential clients easy access to prices, information, and email contacts.
Word-of-Mouth Home Inspection Marketing
Of course, brochures and websites can do no good if a company has a bad reputation amongst the real estate community. The best marketing tool to use is a consistent business policy of honesty, good work, and great ethics. Clients who have a good experience with one home inspector are more likely to hire him again, and to recommend the inspection business to their friends and family members in the future.
